Kim fashion: Our Unlikely Style

Not in a million years would I have expected Kim to become one of the underdog street style queens of 2014. And yet, here we are…with the majority of fashion blogs across the globe buzzing about how Kim has been looking phenomenal lately.

Paris Couture Fashion Week has just been, and it is here that we have seen the culmination of Kims hard work and Yeezy’s obvious fashion influence. For Stephane Rolland‘s presentation, Kardashian wore a revealing silvery silk jumpsuit and creamy wool jacket by the designer, paired with a Lorraine Schwartz diamond choker. With her newly lightened hair, Kim seriously looks glowing. Of course, it helps with your chic factor when your day to day outfits include the likes of Givenchy, Céline, Tom Ford and Alaia.

More than anything, I love how chic Kim looks without being pin thin. As a girl with humps and lumps myself its nice to take style cues (I cannot believe I just said that) from someone curvy.

Kim has some hard and fast rules when it comes to her new style which are pretty obvious.

1. Neutral, block colours are her friend. I.e she will wear all white, pastels, camel tones and blacks…and really thats about it.

2. Luxe accessories. Her MaxMara coat is getting a heck of a lotta wear (which we respect) teamed with great Givenchy, Gucci and Celine accessories that are minimalistic but super chic.

Many have equated Kim’s emergence in the fashion world as likened to Victoria Beck'ham. Its hard to remember now that Posh and Becks were double denim clad, spray tan, diamonte toting Poms before their transformation, so perhaps Kim is experiencing something similar. Rumours are swirling that Kanyeis pitching Anna Wintour to cover their elaborate wedding in Vogue, and really, we think that Kims newfound style would sit comfortably in the pages of the world’s most revered glossy.
